NFC LA Egyptian King Rapsody
In the pasture at age 16

King Rapsody is a son of the famed 1986 National Grand Champion Senior Stallion, Egyptian King.  His dam, Soat's Lil Rapsady, was the only outside mare ever to be bred to King while he was at NFC.  King Rapsody was the result of that breeding and a partnership between NFC and Little America.  We purchased Lil Rapsady after touring Joel Bridges' Komoko Ranch, with my friend, Vern Brewer, saying that she was one of the best miniature mares that he had ever seen.  When the owner of Egyptian King, Bob Erwin, saw her, he said that he wanted to buy her, but I refused to sell.  After much discussion, and a rejection of several offers (he had just paid $40,000 for another mare, and would have done the same for her), we agreed to breed her to King and share the results.  King Rapsody was one of the resulting foals and we were thrilled to be able to keep him for our breeding operation.

King Rapsody has twice been high point senior stallion 30-32" for the SWMHC and was the Reserve National Champion Amateur Senior Stallion in 1994.  Now retired from the showring, King is putting wonderful foals on the ground that are extremely popular with our customers.

His foals are proving to be as outstanding as he is, with Regional Championships, AMHA Top Tens, and AMHA Honor Roll Champions.   Pictured below are a couple of them.
