Our Thursday Kids had a real treat getting to watch the foaling of this filly as they were finishing the session working with the horses. During the foaling season we end the session playing with the foals that were born since the previous week's session. Today Lady Elaine decided to foal as they were coming to the barn. I was in Austin at a meeting and my best helper, Shawn, who is dad to two of the Thursday Kids, was leading the session and took them through the steps of a textbook delivery.
She is another beautiful filly by Orion All Over's, who is a double grandson of the famed Orion-Light Van't Huttenest. We look forward to many more elegant show quality foals as he takes his place in our breeding program. Lady Elaine is another of Lauren's mares; one of three full sisters by Lazy H Desert Storm.
Note: She is currently going through some growth issues and is experiencing "locking patella". She will probably grow out of it, but is off the market until that happens.
