Little America Feather's Evenstar

Foaled April 19, 2003
Measured 27.625" 6/22/5
Sire: Little America's Tex Lil Feather
Dam: Little America's D. S. Black Beauty
Another very special event is the arrival of this pretty little filly. Her dam belongs to Lauren and was an AMHA Top Ten mare as well as a Supreme Halter Horse, Reserve National Champion, and only 27" tall! Her sire is a young stallion who is a snowcap which is believed to be homozygous for appaloosa coloration, although there is not a DNA test for it yet. So far he has had two foals, both apps, so maybe the appaloosa "old-timers" are right, since both of the mares were black. Regardless of color, this is one of the nicest fillies that we have had.
Black Beauty is also the dam of one of our favorites, the tiny Little America's Mister Twister, who belongs to Dr. Laura Szremei. This filly will likely be kept as part of our "private collection" and will also probably join our show string later this summer. Her pedigree is a whose who of Little America Stallions: Lazy H Desert Storm, Xenon-Light Van't Huttenest (three times), and Little America Sesquicentennial Tex (two times). We have always raved about the foals resulting from breeding Desert Storm to Tex daughters... Looks like it works the other way, too!
